become a flight volunteer
Flight Volunteers help us get our rescue babies home to the US.
It is not easy to get our pups here, so organizations like ours depend heavily on incredible flight volunteers, who help bring our rescue babies to the US. Flight volunteers are individuals who happen to be traveling from Aruba the United States and are willing to transport a pup with them. This is one of the most critical aspects of our rescue process! If you're interested in making a huge difference and helping to bring one of our pups home, please apply to be a Flight Volunteer today!
How Does it Work?
Once you decide to become a flight volunteer, our team will add the puppy to your flight and pay for his or her travel. When you arrive at the airport in Aruba, the puppy’s foster parent will meet you there with the pup in a soft sided carrier and all necessary paperwork. You will go through Aruban and US customs, and will present the puppy and her paperwork to the US customs agent. After that, you’ll be on your way to the gate, where you will relax with the puppy on your lap. Once on the flight, you will either be able to keep the puppy on your lap for the duration of the flight (if the flight attendant is nice!) or the puppy will go underneath the seat in front of you. Pups usually fall asleep from the lull of the plane. When you arrive in the US, the puppy’s adopters will meet you at baggage claim and scoop up the pup!
